Minimum experience and education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required.
Mobile Nurse - RN requirements:
As Mobile Clinic Nurse, you will provide general nursing care including urgent/acute needs, chronic disease management, and/or preventative care, to patients in an integrated setting utilizing a team-based model. You will prepare for and travel to mobile event locations within a defined service area.
- Prepare for mobile clinic services often in a non-clinical setting such as at a community agency, shelters, local businesses, neighborhoods, schools, and/or workplaces. Completes all direct nursing care in the field under the scope of mobile services.
- Ensure medical supplies are stocked and equipment is charged for all mobile events.
- Complete training and execute as needed virtual visits.
- Completes all components of a visit: triage patient need(s), interviews patient to obtain appropriate medical information / history, measures vital signs- includes such items as pain assessment, pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, height, and weight, records information on patients’ electronic medical record, perform care coordination when needed, and performs patient education. Reports summary of patient visit to provider as necessary.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques under the orders of the provider.
- Under the direction of the provider, executes standing orders to assure preventive, chronic, diagnostic and medication needs of the patient are met; facilitate the highest quality of care and efficient patient flow in a team-based care environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to utilize technology as a platform for patient care such as laptop, cell phone, iPad, Microsoft Teams, EMR, and other connected clinical devices.
- Perform any lab related services including, venipuncture and lab processing, performing point of care testing and interpreting results as well as documenting results accurately in EMR.
