Behavioral Health Professional
Valley Community Services is looking for qualified behavioral health professionals to provide supports to people with intellectual/developmental disabilities and autism diagnoses. This role offers the opportunity to interact with the people we serve and to offer training support to the staff. This is a salaried position that works under the direct supervision of a licensed Psychologist.
In existence since 1976, Valley Community Services provides supports to over 250 Pennsylvanians with intellectual disabilities and autism diagnoses in a variety of residential and non-residential programs across nine counties. Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Human Services field (Psychology degree preferred but not required)
- Experience in the Human Services field
- Valid PA driver’s license
Minimum Requirements:
- Must meet ODP (Office of Developmental Programs) requlations and performance based contacting.
- Ability to prepare clear, concise reports and effectively communicate orally and in writing.
- Sensitivity in relating to persons of varying backgrounds, demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups of people possessing various strengths, aptitudes and abilities.
- Ability to perform job responsibilities with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment and confidentiality.
- Must be able to read, understand and interpret policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Proficiency with most Microsoft 365 platforms, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Qualified applicants have the potential for supervision towards full Psychology licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
