Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Instructional Assistant to join our team. As an Instructional Assistant, you will provide support to students in a classroom setting, assisting with their educational and behavioral needs. Duties:
Engage and support all young children ages 0-5 in development and learning, cognitive, social-emotional, first, and dual language development, literacy, physical and mental health.
- Assist the master teacher in maintaining effective environments for young children’s development and learning according to the environment rating scales.
- Assist in the implementation of daily lesson plans developed by Master Teacher.
- Maintain open and friendly communication with children and families.
- Participate in ongoing professional development training and/or activities to develop as a professional early childhood educator.
- Develop and maintain open communication with classroom teachers to ensure a continual team environment.
- Actively and visually supervises children indoors, outdoor, and in the bathrooms to always ensure appropriate teacher/child ratios according to Title V and Title 22 Regulations.
- Assist in maintaining a learning environment that is safe, fun, clean, and healthy and promotes positive discipline for all children.
- Assist in conducting monthly fire, earthquake and lock down drills in accordance with program disaster prepared readiness protocols.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.25 - $21.00 per hour
