Job Summary: Bring your professional demeanor and good work ethic! This position is one of the most important functions in our office as you will have the first opportunity to make a good impression of our visitors. Initial contact is made by telephone or by walk-in's. You will schedule and check in patients & direct them to the services needed. Making appointments and making preliminary assessments of payment for patients are essential before provider can see them. Will learn and utilize our Electronic Medical Records system. Job Duties: Daily:
- Answer incoming calls and direct the callers appropriately. (Taking and transmitting accurate messages for the doctor or administrator; scheduling or cancelling appointments; correspond with other medical offices, etc.)
- Greet visitors with enthusiasm and professionalism and attend to their needs appropriately
-Verify patient’s insurance coverage
- Collect and post patient co-payments and generate batch reports to be turned into management
- Pull and file patient charts as needed
- Filing charts and miscellaneous paperwork
Will train the right person, but requirements are:
-Must have good keyboarding skills & be computer literate
-Must have a high school diploma, some college or current college preferred
-Must be detail oriented
-Must have excellent communication skills, verbal and written
-Must have confidence in dealing with all levels of professionals and ages
