Overview: We are seeking a diligent and organized Mail Processor to join our team. The primary responsibility of the Mail Processor is to handle incoming and outgoing mail efficiently. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming mail and sort it according to department or recipient
- Scanning and processing incoming mail according to department
- Operate postage meters and other mail processing equipment
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing mail
- Ensure timely delivery and pickup of mail
- Assist with bulk mailings and mass mailings as needed
- Handle packages and special deliveries as required
- Manage mailroom supplies and inventory
- Follow company procedures and guidelines for handling confidential information
- Coordinate with courier services for special deliveries or pickups
- Assist other departments with mail-related tasks as necessary
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a mailroom or similar role preferred
- Familiarity with scanning, mail processing equipment such as postage meters
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Basic computer skills (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheet software)
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during working hours
