Bilingual Intake Case Manager
Range DOE--$20 - $23
For The Child has an opening for a Full Time Bilingual Intake Case Manager. Eligible candidates must have a BA/BSW in a related field. For The Child is an agency with a long history of providing child abuse prevention and treatment services. We offer a supportive environment with wonderful training opportunities. We have a long history of providing child abuse treatment and prevention services.
Duties:
1. Responsible for screening and assigning new cases for therapists in our Mental Health Treatment Program and our Child Abuse Treatment Program.
2. Provide crisis intervention and abuse assessment to families. Make referrals to DCFS Suspected Child Abuse hotline or law enforcement when determined appropriate.
3. Complete intake appointments with client families to obtain consents and complete financial screenings and a needs assessment.
4. Link clients to needed services as identified through needs assessment.
5. Provide outreach and maintain a relationship with and provide outreach to community partners.
6. Track and monitor referrals received by For The Child, including the disposition of referrals received.
7. Enter data into the Electronic Health Records.
8. Provide some financial screening to determine eligibility for services.
Skills Required:
1. Must have a BA/BSW in related field
2. Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
3. Experience working with children and families who have experienced trauma preferred
4. Experience working in the mental health/social services field preferred.
5. Must have good communication skills, especially on the telephone.
6. Must be detail oriented and organized.
