Full Job Description

Description of Work

This position is located at Cabarrus Juvenile Detention Center.*

Salary is based on the NC Teaching Salary Schedule plus a 6% supplement.*

This position provides students with direct instruction in Math utilizing the Common Core State Standards and NC Essential Skills. Prepares lesson plans, instructional materials, and maintains student progress reports. Teacher will utilize data to inform all instructional activities based on NC Standards, implement IEP modifications, and be responsible for keeping all student records. This position serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team in order to plan for student services and treatment.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.

The salary grade for this position is ED20. State employees are encouraged to apply for positions of interest even if the salary grade is the same as, or lower than, their current position. If selected for this position, a new salary will be recalculated taking into consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience, funding availability, and internal equity. Included in this department are Alcohol Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice Information Network, Emergency Management, Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, NC National Guard, NC Office of Recovery and Resiliency, Samarcand Training Academy, State Capitol Police, and State Highway Patrol.
